In Memory Of Chu

Cornpentry would like to dedicate this page to one of its largest supporters, Chuck aka ” Chu” Farfsing! (1954-2008)  Chu came into the eyes of Cornpentry about 10 years ago. He was one of our first customers. Chu had fell in love with the game of corn hole so much that he and his best friend Randy Atha started going to local bars and pushing Cornpentry boards and recommending them to everyone they knew.  Double D’s  in fairfield became the first bar to take on the game thanks to Chu. It had become the meeting place every Thursday night which eventually grew into every weekend.  He helped us push the game like a sales rep would have done, but he wasn’t a sales rep! Chu was a man that believed in our product and promoted it for no other reason than to see a friend’s business do well!  Chu was very special to us and the corn hole world.  If you were going to a tournament, you wanted Chu to be there. He was a fun-loving, entertaining, and a never dull moment type of guy!  He was the one that made sure that everyone was having a good time!  Chu was the life of any event, especially cornhole outings. If Chu was taking part in a corn hole tournament, you better believe that he had his yaeger bomb toss game in hand!   He came up with the idea of a new game to help raise money and add just more plain old fun to the events.  Many of us have paid to throw  cornpentry bags at the hole, 10 feet up in the air.  We will miss those times!  Its tough to even imagine corn hole without Chu.   Chu was a close friend to us here at Cornpentry for many years and he will be missed dearly. We can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done!  Every bag that we toss, every beer that we drink, every jager bomb that we shoot………we will remember you!

                                                                   RIP  My friend

We would like to give a special thanks to Randy Atha, the Farfsing family, and the Century Inn for holding the first annual “Chu” Memorial Corn hole tournament on April 13, 2008.
